Marsha was born in Concord, New Hampshire and spent her childhood traveling around the country from military base to military base. She came to Bakersfield in 1973 and graduated with Honors from the Nursing Program at Bakersfield College. She continued her education and received both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees, both with Honors, in Nursing from California State University Bakersfield, completing her Nurse Practitioner Program there. She held a National Certification in Critical Care and Emergency Nursing. She was an Associate Professor in the Nursing Program at Bakersfield College.
Marsha participated in the development and establishment of a Diabetic Clinic in Bakersfield and enjoys being a part of improving the healthcare of her patients.
Marsha is married and has two grown children. She enjoys traveling, sewing, cooking and quilting.
